This video was done in a really cute quiz show format, where my boyfriend reads me questions, and if I get one wrong, I get a pie thrown at me. I had my good friend Mitch from Extreme Noise Mpls write me specialized indie/punk questions. Mitch and I used to go to dozens of the same punk shows in Mankato and Minneapolis back in the 90's, and he's almost as much of a music geek as I am, so... this one's for all the marbles! My very indie rock credibility is at stake! I'm a little nervous, and it shows! Plus my guy hasn't pied me in a long time and I am so over the moon that I finally got him to do it again! I am wearing white overall shorts with paint spatter on them. As I get pied, I strip them off to reveal that I'm not wearing anything underneath. He surprises me out the gate by landing the first pie on top of my head instead of straight into my face, like I expected. He also pied me in the titties! And of course, he gave me some good shots to the face, as well. I really wish he would have bent me over and pied me in the ass, or given me a pie sandwich, but he says he's afraid to be too mean to me (no such thing!). He's getting better with his technique. After two wasted crusts, I taught him how to pie someone correctly--up and over the forehead and hair. That time he got me good, even commenting how messy I am! I'm training him so that in our next session he'll be a pro! There are some funny bits. At one point, I get over-confident and blurt out the answer before he's even done reading the question, to which he responds with an instant pie to the face! I protest loudly, "But Husker Dis from St. Paul, Not Minneapolis!" I think my friend planted a trick question in there for me! I had a lot of fun and so did he, all the way up until the end when we ran out of questions (because I'm too smart) and didn't know what to do next. I didn't realize that he was "over it" at that point, until he stands up suddenly and throws the remaining pies at me, ending it all with a big greasy, pink and rainbow-colored Pride cake to the face. He angrily storms out, mumbling something about how I'm delaying him from going fishing and leaving me in real life humiliation and confusion! Dreams of sucking his dick while I'm covered in pies goes out the window, although I'm oddly turned on by the humiliation factor. I look awkwardly into the camera and crawl forward to hit the button to stop recording. This video is dedicated to the memory of my friend Rick Froberg of the Hot Snakes and Drive Like Jehu. Rick was a phenomenal singer, songwriter and guitar player and very skilled at creating illustrations with his pen. He will forever inspire me to continue to create and to enjoy life.
